David Boreanaz might be interested in Bones now but a short while back it was souls that grabbed is attention, Angel was the superior spin off from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Fox are releasing all five seasons of the show in a stunning 30 disc collectors box which not only features all 110 episodes of the show but a special letter from show creator Joss Whedon and a special companion booklet. In the show Angel (who just happens to be a centuries old vampire with something of a good conscience) has left the small California town of Sunnydale and the only woman he ever loved to take up residence in the City of Angels. Between the pervasive evil and countless temptations lurking beneath the city’s glittering facade, Los Angeles proves to be the ideal location for a fallen vampire who has the mission to save lost souls and in turn redeem his own by restoring hope to those locked in a losing battle with their own demons.
The series also stars Saturn Award winners for Best Supporting Actor and Actress James Marsters (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer”) as Vampire Spike and Amy Acker (“Alias”), as Winifred, the beautiful scientist and detective who has become a trusted member of Angel’s team. The series also stars Alexis Denisof (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer”) as demon hunter Wesley Wyndam-Price, J. August Richards (“Conviction”) as the street savvy vampire turned take-no-prisoner lawyer and Andy Hallett (Geppetto’s Secret) as the witty and charismatic karaoke-singing demon Lome.
Definitely not to be missed.
