Date Change For Gordon Ramsay’s Great Escape on ABC1

ABC1 have put back the airdate for the second series of Gordon Ramsay’s Great Escape, the cooking travelogue four parter will now begin on 26 June @ 9.20pm on ABC1.

The series follows award-winning, straight-talking British chef Gordon Ramsay as he goes on a culinary adventure around South East Asia.  In an attempt to master the region’s unique and delicious food, Gordon travels to Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia to track down the best local cooks and chefs in each country.

EPISODE 1 – VIETNAM

Gordon touches down in Vietnam – he’s never visited the country before and soon learns that it’s a nation full of fearless foodies – if it moves the Vietnamese will eat it, and every bit of it! On Gordon’s travels he is wowed by legendary local restaurateur Mrs Duck who turns out to be the queen of beak to tail cooking, he loses his appetite when a six foot long snake complete with beating heart is served-up for dinner, and finishes his week trying to impress Vietnam’s pickiest foodies when he takes over a traditional restaurant and experiences his own ‘Kitchen Nightmare’.
