An unscheduled 2 hour current affairs show that spoke exclusively to a
pair of miners, Todd Russell and Brant Webb, who spent two weeks trapped
down a mine shaft in the small Tasmanian town of Beaconsfield. The story
captured the hearts of not just Australia but the world too. Channel 9
paid an alledged figure somewhere in the region of $3 million dollars to
gain exclusive rights to the miners stories.
