Saturday morning kids show featuring a mix of cartoons,
music and guests and so on and hosted by Daryl Cotton,
Marie Van Maaren and Marty Monster (a man in a furry
Monster costume). This is the show featuring the
infamous incident of Marty being attacked by a Kangaroo
named Rags live on air. The "early bird"
concept had previously been seen from the 1970's non
nationally in Perth with SAS 10 (Adelaide) and 7 (Perth)
these stations telecast 'Earlybirds' shows featuring Fat
Cat and a female co-host (in Adelaide Veronica Overton
(70s) before Didi James (late 70s) and Jane Reilly (80s)
and a range of competitions, music film clips and the
obligatory cartoons. This show generally ran from 7am to
9am Monday to Friday.
