QUEEN OF THE PACIFIC QUEST

A beauty contest broadcast from the Chevron Hotel in Melbourne. Hosted by Bert Newton and with commentary by Rosemary Morgan. Guests included policitician Philip Lynch (he gave out the prizes), actor Ted Hamilton, singer Vicki Forest and the Channel 9 dancers.

 

QUEEN OF THE ROAD

JNP Films / 1x90m-e / 1984

Comedy drama. A young woman Rosy inherits her fathers massive truck following his death, helped by her friend Gail she decides to keep the truck on the road, despite opposition from male truckies, Rosy became friendly with motorcycle cop Speedy. Both the female leads had to get their grade five licenses to be able to drive the trucks in the film.

QUENTIN CRASHES HOLLYWOOD

Talent show in which the viewers at home phoned in to decide the winer, the host was Pater Regan and each week a professional celeb made a guest appearance.

 

A QUESTION OF SURVIVAL

A documentary series fousing on environmental issues. Reporters included Geoffrey Burchfield, Richard Smith, Nicholas Stuart, Rebecca Le Tourneau and Catherine McGrath.

THE QUIZ KIDS

7 Network / x30m-e / 1964-68 black and white

Producer: David Price / Director: Hal Lashwood

General knowledge quiz for brainy teenagers and based on a popular long running radio original. Host was John Dease and a previous version of the show had been attempted in 1957.
