ADAM HILLS IN GORDON ST TONIGHT EPISODE 3 GUEST LINE-UP
Episode Three of Adam Hills In Gordon St Tonight screens Wednesday February 23 at 8.30pm on ABC1 and Adam’s guests are comedian Carl Barron, Olympic basketball star Lauren Jackson, ARIA award-winning singer/songwriter and actress Jessica Mauboy, and the Gordon St Classic will be performed by rocker and Shihad front man Jon Toogood.

Carl Barron’s comedy career began the night he walked on stage at the Harold Park Hotel, and told the room how a bird had poo-ed on him that day – and the rest is history. He’s since become one of Australia’s most accomplished comedy performers, having headlined at every major comedy venue and Festival worldwide. His non-threatening observational style of comedy appeals to everyone.
Professional basketball player Lauren Jackson’s career began at the Australian Institute of Sport, in the WNBL, before playing for the Canberra Capitals. She later headed to the US to play for Seattle Storm, while also playing for Australia with The Opals. She’s competed at three Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games, and won national championships in the U.S., Australia, and Russia – and a world championship as well. She is widely considered to be the best Australian female basketball player of all-time and one of the best players in the world.
Jessica Mauboy first came to national attention as runner up in the fourth season of Australian Idol. Although she didn’t win the show, Mauboy signed a record deal and hasn’t looked back. Her debut album, Been Waiting, achieved double platinum sales, seven ARIA award nominations and spawned six hit singles. Her latest album, Get ‘em Girls, is destined for the same success. In 2009 Jessica starred in her first feature film, Bran Nue Dae.
Jon Toogood is lead singer/guitarist for New Zealand rock band Shihad. During the band’s recording career, they have produced four number one studio albums and three top 10 singles in their home country of New Zealand.
