Children’s action drama series Falcon Island followed the adventures of a trio of kids on the island of the title. The three, Kate, Paul and Jock, have ambitions to find the wreck of the seventeenth century Dutch treasure ship local people believe sank there. But just when they think they have proof of the ships existence the discovery of a valuable mineral threatens to spoil the island and destroy the wreck. The children’s search for the ship becomes a desperate race against time to save both it and their home.

The series was filmed on Rottnest Island which lies a few kilometres off the coast of Western Australia, the island is home to the Marsupial called The Quokka and lots of other rare fauna and flora. In the 19th century it was used as a “prison” for Aboriginals and in World Wars I and II was used as an internment camp for enemy aliens.
