Some recent series we'd love to see on the ABC any time soon, comedies Lead Balloon (brilliant Jack Dee vehicle in which he plays bitter stand up comic Rick Spleen), the superb Saxondale with Steve Coogan as an egeing hippy roadie turned pest controller and on the period drama front there is Cranford and Lark Rise to Candleford. All need to be on the ABC shopping list.
One not to be missed is Top Gear from the beginning, currently showing on SBS on Saturdays @ 7.30pm. This is the first time these episodes have been seen on Australian Free To Air TV.
