THE BANANA SPLITS ARE BACK

Tra Tra La - La La La La

If like us you were a fan of the Mighty Banana Splits and their fantastic Banana Splits Adventure Hour, then you are going to be one happy little bunny with the news that, Drooper, Fleegle, Bingo and Snorky are coming back!

Forty years after they first appeared the quartet of bubblegum music singing and bad joke telling furry animals (a dog, a lion, a gorilla and an elephant) will be appearing on the Cartoon Network in 130 two minute shorts filmed in the same classic style as the original series.

The series begins on 2 September (seen twice daily at 9.00am and 2.00pm) and is part of a whole new wave of Banana mania with music videos planned, a new website and even live gigs.

Universal also have a CD and DVD planned for upcoming release which will feature 13 new sure to be classics, the website meanwhile Banana Splits will be home to not just the new shorts and songs but also games, secret codes and will be the official home of the Banana Splits club.

Finally over at The Hard Rock Park there is to be a whole new area called Banana Splitsville which will feature a live show and an extensive Splits themed play area. Keep an eye out too for an upcoming concert tour.

The Banana Splits can be seen on The Cartoon Network from 2 September 2008 @ 9.00am and 2.00pm Monday thru Friday.
