Period drama serial. At the turn of the 20th century drapers assistant Mr Polly is convinced that a better life is just around the corner, following the death of his father he opens up his own shop with his wife Miriam, however some years down the track he is has something of a mid life crisis, goes on the road and ends up working in a pub where thanks to a chance bit of circumstance he is able to fake his death and start a new life. An ably mounted Sunday tea time serial version of H.G. Wells classic novel.

Medical drama series. Spin off from Casualty focusing on the surgical ward department of the hospital. The two shows occasionally crossed over with a patient appearing in the A&E department then being transferred to the ward. Season three saw the show opening out slightly bringing a pediatrics ward into the drama. Both this show and Casualty are practically once a week soaps seen almost all year round. 20 August 2002 - George Irving leaves the series DENIS LAWSON as Tom Campbell-Jones joins as his replacement. Featuring the current casts of both series fitting into both their current continuities and ending with the death of a regular Casualty character.  Although both series are supposedly set in the same hospital there is normally no crossover of cast between them because the series' are actually filmed in different cities.

Period drama serial. The life and times of the East End Wheelwright family over much of the 20th century from 1903 right up to 1970. The story began in 1903 with Dora Wheelwright struggling to bring up her kids, Charlie and Vi, following the death of her Stevedore husband in an accident. Charlie as an adult found himself caught up in the horrors of world war one and then struggles to survive throughout the depressed 1920's, he marries Ann and becomes in involved in the General Strike before having to go through another world war and it's aftermath and the changing face of the East End and the loss of community.
