Crime drama series. Decidedly uppercrust detective Inspector Thomas Lynley and his down at heel and none too sure of herself detective sergeant (Barbara Havers) investigate when a farmer living on a remote farm on the Yorkshire moors is murdered. A series followed this initial 2 part serial (beginning 8 April 2002) with Lynley and Havers investigating more crimes. There was a 2 year gap between series 3 (2003) and series 4 (2005).

INSPECTOR MORSE

Crime drama series. Cases of cerebral Oxford Detective Chief Inspector Morse and his down to Earth Geordie Sergeant. Morse drove a red 1960 Mark II Jaguar. Since 1995 there have been occasional specials, generally at the rate of one a year. Morse's long unrevealed first name is Endeavor. The theme tune to Inspector Morse supposedly spells out Morse's name in actual Morse Code. The very final episode of Inspector Morse went out on 15 November 2000 with Endeavor Morse going to meet his maker.

Crime drama series. Cases of Detective Chief Inspector Wexford in the Hampshire town of Kingsmarkham. The stories normally went out under the Ruth Rendell Mysteries banner often leading to confusion as many single unrelated single dramas from the pen of Rendell also went out under this banner. The show were usually 4x60m-e in length but later episodes tended towards the feature length.
