Comedy drama. Detective Constable Davies is considered a bit of joke in his
station and is laughingly referred to as "Dangerous" because he is
considered so useless. But he has an earnest enthusiasm regardless of the
trivial cases he gets assigned by his superior who tells him that he would be
the "Last Detective" he would think of to assign an important case to.
Despite this Davies' mundane cases often tend to have more to them than first
meets the eye. The first story in this series was previously adapted on ITV in
1981 as "Dangerous Davies:
The Last Detective" with Bernard Cribbens in the title role.
