Comedy drama. Dillon was a sixties love child. His parents, members of renowned psychadelic band The Pink Frogs, died years before in a car crash. Brought up by his gran on a south London housing estate Dillon has turned out sensitive awkward and gawky. He wants to escape his family history of eccentricity and aspires to "ordinariness". That's not going to be an easy task, especially with stoner friends like Cliff and Elvis, a boss who wants him to develop a killer streak and the unwelcome attentions of a talking toilet. A great piece of English eccentricity with a wonderful performance from Sheila Hancock and some surreal overtones.

Lovejoy for some reason never had a first name.

The first four episodes were stripped across the week beginning 8 Nov (every night except Thursday) before settling into its once a week slot. Of the 16  episodes mentioned above not all of them have been seen with some later being shown in 2001.
