life for himself as a restaurateur in London, finds himself called back to
his home in the Scottish Highlands to assume his role as The Laird of Glenbogle
and get the 40,000 acre estate back on its feet. By the end of season three in
early 2002 the decision had been taken to kill off Hector MacDonald truly making
Archie the Laird. Season Four started 1 September 2002 and by the end of it
Archie and Lexie had got married. During the 5th series, Archie left Glenbogle,
leaving the estate in the hands of his wife Lexie and his half-brother Paul. In
the final episode Hector (Richard Briers) made a return appearance as a ghost
whom only Molly could see.

David Peters develops an unsettling obsession with the singer Al Bowlly despite
the fact that he was only six when Bowlly died. Bowlly was a British Bing Crosby
and was killed in his flat during the Blitz of World War Two, Peters allows his
obsession (he sets up a society dedicated to Bowlly) to overtake his life. This
was another of Potter's plays showing his own obsession with the music of the
1930's.

Mystery. A dramatised account of an unsolved murder that intrigued Victoria
society. Florence, a rich but disgraced woman, marries Charles Bravo to regain
respectability. But he turns out to be harsh and only really married to get
control of her fortune. When he dies of poisoning foul play is suspected but
there are many within the household who appear to have sufficient motive. Julian
Fellows narrates and presents - occasionally walking into the action in modern
dress to explain a point. At the end he puts forward his theory on who carried
out the murder. This was a pilot for a proposed series and was individually
titled "The Case of Charles Bravo". From the second episode on the
show was re-titled to JULIAN FELLOWES INVESTIGATES: A MOST MYSTERIOUS MURDER
