Period crime drama series. In the 1930's fussy Belgian private detective Hercule Poirot investigates a series of crimes, mostly murder, with his faithful aide Captain Hastings. After a gap of five years two feature length adaptions appeared (the Murder of Roger Ackroyd and Lord Edgware Dies). Poirot lived at 56B Whitehaven Mansions, Sandhurst Square, London W1 and his phone number was TRAfalgar 8137. On 2 June 2002 a two hour special "Murder In Mesopotamia"  was broadcast.  15 December 2002 saw the broadcast of "Evil Under The Sun". It WAS a new episode although it had been on the shelf for a while - the copyright date at the end was 2000. Another story "Five Little Pigs"  was broadcast on ITV1 / 1x120m / 14 December 2003. Followed by "Sad Cypress" / ITV1 / 1x120m / 26 December 2003. New story broadcast 'Death on the Nile' ITV1 / 1x120m / 12 April 2004. The Hollow was broadcast 30 August 2004. 3 further two hour stories  followed in 2006

With questions like 'Were you in the neighbourhood', host Shaw Taylor appealed for viewers' assistance in tracking down criminals and preventing future incidents. Produced in conjunction with New Scotland Yard, this series focused on crimes in the capital, although regional equivalents were also shown in other ITV areas. Taylor's parting advice was, 'Keep 'em peeled.' LWT also produced Junior Police Five in the 1970s.

An audition campaign series like the previous year's successful POPSTARS but this time to find a new solo pop superstar. Four judges (Simon Cowell, Nikki Chapman, Neil Fox, Pete Waterman) whittled thousands of hopefuls down to 50. Then there was a series of live shows after which viewers could vote on the two that would go through to the final stage from each week's group of 10. Once the 10 finalists were chosen the final stage consisted of a further 8 weeks of shows with one contestant being voted off each week. The grand final was between Gareth Gates and Will Young with the latter winning.

A music show based on a US original in which pop videos are shown whilst information and amusing facts about the artists involved "pop up" on screen.
