THE BILL: The Complete Low Down, 20 Years at Sun Hill by Geoff Tibballs
Publishers: Pan MacMillan

Reviewer: PJ

This large format hardback companion s a must for any fan of TV’s longest running cop show. Tibballs, an old hand at these sort of inside TV show type books, takes us through the shows earliest years from it’s inception as a pilot show called Woodentop to it’s half hour soap heyday, through the recent major cast changes and it’s now hourly format.

Besides the history of the show we are treated to in-depth interviews with many of the major players over the years including Jeff Stewart (Reg Hollis), Simon Rouse (Jack Meadowes), Graham Cole (Tony Stamp) and Lisa Geoghan (Polly Page) as well as an ID Parade which looks at every major copper to have appeared on the show over the years.

Packed to the gills with full colour photographs and interesting facts 20 Years at Sun Hill is the ideal companion to a show seen in over 55 countries.
