Orion have pulled out a big gun for the launch of their new Young Adult imprint Indigo with the announcement that the opening book on the imprint will be Shelter by Harlan Coben.

Shelter features Coben’s much loved character Myron Bolitar but only in a side role, the main action is taken by his nephew Mickey who also appeared in Myron’s last Coben novel Live Wire. The thing is though Mickey cannot stand his uncle, Myron. Mickey has recently lost his Dad in a car accident, and his Mum to rehab. His girlfriend of two weeks has disappeared. Remarkably, his life is about to get even worse.

It actually has all the hallmarks of classic Coben complete with cliff hanger finish and is sure to appeal to adults too (it will be availble with an adult themed cover too).

Indigo will feature YA titles from both adult and children’s authors, some established, some debut, and across all genres. Gollancz authors, naturally enough, will feature strongly in the list.
