Also appearing regularly were Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall (in their guise as The Dangerous Brothers). Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, French and Saunders, Nick Hancock and Lenny Henry. Others to appear were Rowan Atkinson, Morwenna Banks, Julian Clary, Robbie Coltrane, Paul Merton, Peter Cook, Frankie Howerd, Jasper Carrott, Spike Milligan and many many more. SATURDAY LIVE London Weekend Television / 8x60m-e / 1996 1 June - 20 July Saturday 10.10pm Producer: Susie Dark / Director: Ian Hamilton A revival of the 1980's classic (see above), this time hosted by Lee Hurst. The show pretty much came and went this time without anyone noticing, guests were distinctly less thrilling than the original also and included Tim Vine, TRony Hawks, and Alistair McGowan.

The team was also responsible for the classic show The Day Today. Reflecting the fact that season two was broadcast on a Thursday the season was known as The Friday Night Armistice. SATURDAY STAYBACK Central / 6x45m-e / 1983 22 January - 26 February Saturday 11.15pm Producer; Chris Tarrant / Director: Peter Harris An attempt after the disastrous O.T.T. to mount a similar late night TISWAS style show for adults. Mostly sketch and stand up based the performers included Chris Tarrant, Helen Atkinson Wood, Phil Cool, Tony Slattery, Bob Carolgees and Suzanne Sinclair.

BBC / 3x60 minute episodes / 1955 black and white Writers: Jimmy Grafton, Eric Sykes, Spike Milligan, Harry Secombe / Producers: Bill Lyons, Albert Stevenson Goonish themed humour (check out those writer credits!) from Harry Secombe his guests included fellow Goons Spike Milligan and Peter Sellers as well as Sam Kydd, Eric Sykes, Valentine Dyall and Libby Morris.

Imogene Coca (a regular American sidekick) and Jeremy Hawk also featured.

pastiching popular sitcoms, passed by without a murmer at the time but pretty
significant in terms of casting featuring as they do future Little Britain and
League of Gentlemen alumni. The four were.
SLIGHTLY FILTHY LWT (Regional Only) / 4x30m-e / 2001 (First Episode Friday 20 April / 11.30pm) A sketch comedy series written by Brian Mitchell and Joseph Nixon and shown only in the London area.
Channel 4-Talkback / 22x30m-e / 1999-2002 Producer: Victoria Pile / Executive Producer: Peter Fincham Hip sketch show that was mainly written by it's three female stars (Fiona Allen, Doon Mackichan and Sally Phillips). The good thing about the show was the cast didn't limit themselves to dealing with women's 'issues'. Also involved in the shows were Sarah Alexander, Tamzin Griffin, Amanda Holden (occasional only), Darren Boyd, Cavan Clerkin, James Lance and Michael Wildman. Two specials with all new material were broadcast 26 Dec 2002 and 3 Jan 2003 (included in the above episode count).

New characters included Slade at Home, The Petomaines, Mulligan and O'Hare the folk singers and Pat Wright and Dave Arrowsmith (two northern types who were convinced people were staring at their bras).

Goonish in style and minimalist of set. Peter Sellers starred and Valentine Dyall, Kenneth Connor, Mario Fabrizi, Graham Stark, Patti Lewis, Johnny Vyvyan and Gilbert Harding all also appeared.

Voice artists included Steve Coogan, Rory Bremner, Chris Barrie, Hugh Dennis, Harry Enfield, Steve Nallon, John Sessions, Kate Robbins, Enn Reitel, Jan ravens, Jessica Stevenson and Alister McGowan. BBC2 / x45m-e / 1995-98 A 'mélange' of different styles of comedy, satirising TV, newspapers etc. Initially on late night then later Sunday lunchtimes. One regular segment of the show had Dennis Pennis (aka Paul Kaye) surprising celebrities at premieres with his outrageous questions. These segments were later compiled into two separate shows Anyone For Pennis and Very Important Pennis. Katie Puckrick was amongst the hosts.
THE SUNSHINE BOYS BBC1 / 1x60minutes / 3 September 1999 (Friday 8.00pm) Executive Producer: Caroline Wright / Producer: Kate Phillips Clips from the golden years of the Morecombe and Wise show. The same evening at 10.20pm saw a repeat of a 1972 Parkinson show featuring a rare interview with Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise.
