THE TED RAY SHOW BBC / 28x60m-e / 1955-59 6 seasons Writers: Sid Colin, Talboth Rothwell and George Wadmore (seasons 1-4), John Junkin and Terry Nation (Seasons 5-6) / Producers: George Inns, Bill Ward, Ernest Maxin, Barry Lupino A mixture of sketches, variety segments and stand up starring the popular Ted Ray. Other regulars were Diana Hart and Kenneth Connor (both season 4).
THE TELEGOONS BBC1-Grosvers / 26x15m-e / 1963-64 Season 1: 5 October - 21 December 63 / Season 2: 28 March - 1 August 64 Writer: Spike Milligan / Script Editor: Maurice Wiltshire / Producer: Tony Young An attempt to bring the famous Goon show of the radio to the TV screen, using puppets instead of actors and utilising a lot of the actual radio scripts, rather than using the radio broadcasts the team re-recorded their voices to take into account the fact that the TV scripts were only fifteen minutes long as opposed to the 30 minutes of the radio version. The shows also made more play on visual humour. Voices were by Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan and Harry Secombe. THAT WAS THE WEEK THAT WAS BBC / 37x50m-e / 1962-63 black and white Season 1: 24 November 62 - 27 April 63 / Season 2: 28 September - 28 December 63 Creator/Producer: Ned Sherrin Satirical comedy, the first to take pot shots at the establishment, incredibly popular, talked about and influential and also much disliked by the Government. David Frost headlined and also appearing were Kenneth Cope, Millicent Martin, William Rushton, Roy Kinnear, Lance Percival, Bernard Levin, David Kernan, Al Mancini, Timothy Lang (season 1) and Robert Lang (season 2). Writers included David Frost, Dennis Potter, Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall, David Nobbs and Peter Tinniswood, Kenneth Tynan, Johnny Speight, John Braine, John Antrobus and Bernard Levin. Each week Millicent Martin sang a topical song each week over the theme tune.
THREE OF A KIND BBC1 / 16x30m-e 1x35m-e / 1981-83 3 Seasons plus 1 special Script Associate: Kim Fuller / Producer: Paul Jackson Fast paced sketch show that proved to be a launching pad for two of its three stars Tracey Ullman and Lenny Henry, the third David Copperfield never quite managed to make the big time. Writers included Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, Gareth Hale and Norman Pace and Ian Hislop.
THREE PIECE SUITE BBC2 / 6x30m-e / 1977 8 March - 12 April Tuesdays 9.00pm Producer: Michael Mills A starring vehicle for Diana Rigg in which (each show) she starred in three separate sketches, some funny, some more serious. Writers included Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, John Esmonde and Bob Larbey, Jilly Cooper, Carla Lane, Neil Shand, Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall, Terence Brady and Charlotte Bingham, Richard Waring and Roy Clarke. Guests included John Cleese and Tony Britton.
THE TONY HANCOCK SHOW Associated Rediffusion-Jack Hylton / 12x30m-e / 1956-57 black and white Writers: Eric Sykes, Larry Stephens, Ray Galton and Alan Simpson / Producers: Kenneth Carter, Eric Fawcett Sketch series. Tony Hancock's first starring show, the cast also featured June Whitfield, Clive Dunn, Dick Emery, Sam Kydd, Hattie Jacques and Eric Sykes.
TRIGGER HAPPY TV Channel 4 / 12x30m-e / 2000-2001 Often bizarre, often very funny practical jokes perpetrated on unsuspecting members of the public by Dom Jolly. He used recurring characters and motifs such as walking around with a giant mobile phone and shouting into it. The series also featured a very classy soundtrack of classic music tracks.

TWICE A FORTNIGHT BBC1 / 10x30m-e / 1967 21 October -23 December Saturday 11.00pm black and white Writers: Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie, Michael Palin and Terry Jones / Producer/Director: Tony Palmer Sketch series that grew out of the radio show I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again. The shows featured all of the Goodies (Bill Oddie, Graeme Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor) as well as Michael Palin and Terry Jones of Monty Python (their contributions were pre-filmed and were done in the style of their later series The Complete and Utter History of Britain. Also appearing were Jonathan Lynn, DilysWatling, Tony Buffery and Ronald Fletcher. Many top rock acts also appeared including The Who, The Small Faces, Cream and Cat Stevens.
THE TWO RONNIES
Producers: Terry Hughes, Michael Hurll, Marcus Plantin, Paul Jackson, Peter Whitmore, Brian Penders, Bill Wilson, Marcus Mortimer Long running, popular sketch series starring portly Ronnie Barker and diminutive Ronnie Corbett. Regular segments included Corbett telling a long winded joke whilst sitting in a chair, the brilliant mystery serials starring private detective Charley Farley and Piggy Malone (Barker played Malone, Corbett Farley), the tongue twisting sketches performed by Barker and written by him under the name Gerald Wiley. Barker and Corbett at a party or some other function and regular musical items that saw the two in many an outrageous costumes (and often in drag). Main writers were Ronnie Barker (as Gerald Wiley), Peter Vincent, Spike Mullins, David Nobbs, David Renwick, Dick Vosburgh and Barry Cryer. Other contributions were made by all the Pythons (separately) bar Gilliam. Only Fools creator John Sullivan also wrote some material for the show. THE TWO RONNIES AT THE MOVIES BBC1 / 1x50m-e / 1999 18 September Saturday 9.25pm Producer: Ben Kellett Clips from the Two Ronnies shows featuring some of the many film pastiches they made, included were McCleary's Gold (written by Gerald Wiley aka Ronnie Barker), Little Big Shot, Raiders of the Lost Auk (with Leslie Ash) and The Secret of the Sorcerers Tomb.
TWO RONNIES NIGHT BBC1 / 2x60m-e / 1999 19 July - Friday 8.00pm and 9.30pm Producer: Ben Kellett / Comedy. A two hour tribute to the two Ronnies that for one night only saw Barker emerge from his retirement. The show consisted of some newly performed versions of favourite newsdesk sketches and a viewers vote for their favourite sketch, there was also a documentary on the pair.
