BEN WILSHAW IN PETER MOFFAT'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Peter Moffat who gave us the superb Cambridge Spies and Kavanagh QC is the man behind upcoming BBC One five part thriller Criminal Justice which stars Ben Wishaw as a young man whose life is turned completely upside down after a one night stand leaves him with the body of a girl in his bed.
Whishaw plays 21 year old Ben Coulter who after a night of hedonism wakes with no memory of the night before and a dead body in his bed, Ben is quickly arrested and put through the rigours of the Criminal Justice system even though he is convinced of his innocence. He is soon locked into a world of police stations, prisons and oppressive courts.
The top flight cast also includes Pete Postlethwaite as a lifer, David Harewood, Bill Paterson, Lindsay Duncan and Con O'Neill.
Moffat is himself a qualified barrister so this should be an insightful look into a system that is easy to get lost in and hard to fight your way out of.
