MacDonald's Farm is Channel 9's
highly colourful and vibrant
pre-school entertainment show
that heavily focuses on songs
and music to get its message
across. Milly and Max are
brother and sister who run their
own farm (the show uses the
adults in foam costumes
technique to portray Milly and
Max) and the series portrays
the
adventures
that the pair have with their
animal friends
Henry the horse, Charlotte the
chicken, Dash the duck, Shirley
the sheep, Percy the pig and
Daisy the cow.
Music is a major part of the
show and this new CD from Sony
gathers together 21 songs (as
well as an extra 10 instrumental
karaoke versions), the songs,
all originals, are a mixture of
farmyard inspired rhymes and
development
type
singalongs, the music itself is bouncy stuff and well produced, obviously
the disc is designed to appeal to the average 2-5 year old so the repetitious
nature of it could possibly be a little wearing but my two year old is keen
on the series and seeing him dancing around to some of the songs is just
pure magic. If your kids are already familair with the series they will love
this and if they have yet to see it the CD stands iin its own right as good
entertaining fun.
