The biggest movie Australia has seen for some time is just released on DVD.

Based on the best selling teen books by John Marsden the movie (which was mostly filmed around the lovely NSW town of Raymond Terrace) follows a group of teenagers who return home from a camping trip to find their entire world turned upside down as they realise that an invading foreign power has taken control in their town.

Featuring an up and coming cast of great Australian talent led by Caitlin Stasey, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Deniz Akdeniz and Phoebe Tonkin, Tomorrow When The War Began is a fabulous movie, just the kind of thing critics say that Australian film makers can’t make – full of action, strong plotting and great playing from the young leads.

The release also has some great extras in the shape of audio commentaries, an alternate ending, cast profiles, a making of featurette, a behind the scenes look at the explosive bridge scene and an interview with John Marsden.
