Lilies tells the story of three sexy, tough and funny Catholic sisters; Iris, Ruby and May, coming of age in a terraced docklands house in Liverpool. The Moss sisters
battle with poverty, burgeoning adulthood and the ravages of love in post World War I.
The series also follows the fortunes of the Protestant Moss men; widowed alcoholic father Dadda and troubled son Billy who suffers from the fatal combination of sensitivity, military service and parental expectation. Despite the hardships facing all members of the Moss family, they battle through their personal turmoil depending on the love and strength of one another to get them through. |
