11' 09" 01: September 11
Distributor: Magna Pacific

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

Billed as a collective film this moving fugue to the devastating events of the twin towers attack on 11 September 2001 it features eleven different directors from 11 different countries contributing 11 short films each 11 minutes and 9 seconds long.

Put together by artistic director Alain Brigand the films are widely diverse in their nature, from the personal minor key material (Sean Penn's USA film featuring Ernest Borgnine) to the more extreme (Mexico's almost all black screen footage interspersed with actual footage of the attack itself.

A wonderful idea, sad to watch but vital to see.
