An edge of the seat thriller starring Matt Dillon (who also directed) as conman Jimmy who, after helping pull off a scam in New York, finds himself in Cambodia trying to get his cut from his wily boss Marvin (played by James
Caan).
Looking great, City of Ghosts which was mostly shot on location in Cambodia (the first Western film to shoot most of its footage there in fact), has a tense atmosphere (a bit like the country itself) that keeps you watching, throw in a heavyweight star cast which includes James Caan, Gerard Depardieu, Rose Byrne, Natascha McElhone and Stellan Skarsgard and a script co-written by Dillon with David Lynch alumni Barry Gifford and you have one never less than watchable movie.
