Distributor: Universal Entertainment

Universal bring us four discs of classic Dr Seuus material, made in the early
1970s for USTV these four discs each contain two stories (apart from cat in the hat which contains just the classic story) and sing along songs. With scripts and songs by the good Dr Seuss himself you know that quality control is not going to be an issue and although on the short side (they each run for around 50 minutes). In all the animations the songs are great fun and the animated tales themselves are fantastic. The stories have all been remastered so look excellent too.
All the discs feature the chance to choose which songs you would like to hear and see and also a couple of karaoke style sing along songs are featured on each disc.

The four discs are
The Cat in the Hat probably the most well known Dr Seuss story (and recently made into a live action Mike Myers starring movie) and one which sees the mischievous Cat in the Hat stirring up trouble in the lives of two bored young children.
Green Eggs and Ham and Other Stories Another Seuss classic featuring Sam-I-Am and his favourite dish as well as the story of the alien Zax and Grinch Night in which the horrible Grinch is out to stir up trouble in Whoville but fails thanks to one little who-boy.
The Grinch Grinches The Cat in the Hat - The Grinch of course does his best to get one over on the cat in the hat. This disc also includes The grinch of course does his best to get one over on the cat in the hat. This disc also includes a quite long animation called The Hoober-Bloob Highway, in terms of extras you can choose which songs you want to hear and sing along lyrics to two songs (What Makes a Grinch Tick and Fun to be a Human)
The Lorax - A strange creature living in a tree finds himself targeted by industry and is in danger of losing his home. This disc also includes Pontoffel Pock and his Magic Piano, again this disc features a choose your song option as well as two subtitled sing a-long songs.
All the discs are available to buy separately and reasonably priced. Well worth seeking out. |
