GRAEME
CONNORS: Up
Close
Released
by Universal. Out now to
buy.
If
there is was any justice in the
world then Graeme Connors would
be much more widely known than
he is, a highly gifted
singer-songwriter with a
definite knack for telling
wonderful stories, his first
DVD, Up Close is out now
from Universal.
Containing
22 of his best loved songs and
recorded live in a nicely
intimate setting, but with Dolby
5:1 surround sound well to the
fore though we get the best seat
in the house. Accompanied
by Tim Wedde on piano,
accordion, mandolin and vocals,
and James Gillard on bass,
guitar and vocals Graeme takes
us through a whole raft of songs
from all across his long career,
highlights include I’m Gonna
Talk You Off Your Feet Tonight
and the father to son
confessional I Notice These
Things.
Connors
keeps things low key with
shortish introductions to the
stripped down songs and the
release is all the better for
it. Very good indeed.
No
Extras.
