LIGHTHOUSE FAMILY GREATEST HITS

A handy little collection of laid back duo The Lighthouse Family’s greatest hits in video form.  The boys, Tunde Baiyewu and Paul Tucker, broke through with the hit Lifted, a sublime piece of Sunday morning pop and continued over the course of three albums to pretty much continue in the same vein.  Whilst stand out cuts on this 13 song collection include Ocean Drive , High and Question of Faith the videos all tend towards the samey, albeit highly polished feel, almost like a series of glossy commercials for unspecified products.  Track 13 offers you the chance to see the boys making the video for Run.

The Lighthouse Family have a very nice lush sound, heavy on strings and with Baiyewu’s voice floating over the top they have created a kind of Bacharach mixed with Nick Drake sound.

As a video hits type package this will certainly appeal to the Lighthouse Family’s fanbase, listened to without the TV screen on it’s actually a very good audio hits package.
