LITTLE CITY
Released by Roadshow Entertainment. Available to rent/buy now. A She Says He Says review by Knowles and Knowles.

The Story. It could be said that San Fransisco is a great city as long as you don’t mind running into the same six people over and over again.  This sets the premise of this movie.  Centred on six young people living in San Fransisco there is Adam (Josh Charles) whose ex-girlfriend Kate (Joanna Going) leaves him for Ann (Jobeth Williams).  Adams ’ current girlfriend Nina (Annabella Sciorra) is having an affair with his best friend Kevin (Jon Bon Jovi).  Enter Rebecca(Penelope Ann Miller) who works with Kevin, has slept with Ann and ends up falling in love with Adam.  Could their relationships be more confusing?

Her View. This lightweight movie does not deliver any of the promise on the cover of the DVD.  Uncomplicated and a bit silly Little City is by no means an intellectual challenge.  I have been a fan of Jon Bon Jovi for many, many years and I have to admit that even his presence in this movie did not save it for me.  Had I not been watching this to do a review I would have changed the channel long before it got to the end.

His View. The cast of this movie gave it all, but the poor “ Melrose Place ” story falls short of getting there. Although I enjoyed the bed-hopping, there was little to prop up the other half of the movie. I kept hoping if I continued to watch something would redeem the movie, it didn’t and the movie finished.
