A comedy thriller starring the great Jack Nicholson and the sexy Kathleen Turner as a pair of killers for hire who fall in love. Nicholson plays Charley Partanna working for the Prizzis (a notorious mobster family) who falls for Irene Walker (Kathleen Turner) a fellow assassin who has just been hired by the Prizzis to bump off someone who has double crossed (yes there is a twist here).

Entertaining and building in pace as it progresses Prizzi’s Honor, directed by the legendary John Huston hits most of its targets well, mixing as it does romance and the mafia. Nicholson is very laid back as usual whilst Turner makes a great husky voiced hit woman. There is also a strong role for Anjelica (daughter of John) Huston.

The movie was a big success on its cinema release in the mid 1980’s garnering 8 Oscar nominations (it won one – Anjelica Huston for best supporting actress) and is definitely a worthwhile time passer.
