THAT TOUCH OF MINK
Released by Paramount

Even by Doris Day’s professional virgin standards she was knocking on a bit by the time That Touch of Mink was made (38 years old in fact), directed by Delbert Mann and with a sparkling academy award nominated script from Stanley Shapiro and Nate Monaster, Mink is actually quite a sweet movie. Cary Grant plays a tycoon businessman who spies from the country Day and is immediately smitten, helped and hindered in equal turn by his right hand man GigYoung (who has the best role in the film), of course Day is not prepared to give up her virginity without a ring on her finger.

Pretty sophisticated back in the day with it’s automated offices and hi-tech cafeteria That Touch of Mink may seem a little dated now but watched in the right frame of mind the movie is a very enjoyable romcom. No extras.
