SO
IS IT ANY GOOD?
As
is the way with sketch based material Amazon Women contains as many
misses as hits but the hits are very funny, some very high profile
people were involved including directors Joe Dante and John Landis as
well as some of the Saturday Night Live people and a young Michelle
Pfeiffer. Highlights would have to be the Sci-Fi B movie of the title
which makes appearances throughout the movie and the invisible man take
off; All of the sketches are very well mounted and the ones that are
pastiching well known targets also show a true love for the source
material.
In
the style of The Kentucky Fried Movie, Amazon Women on the Moon is well
worth a look.
