SO
IS IT ANY GOOD?
Pretty
much car crash TV, you know you shouldn't watch but you just can't help
yourself. The world and mind of Anna Nicole Smith is a weird and
wonderful place where her breasts get as much attention as she does (her
twins as likes to call them are almost always ready to fall out of her
clothes) and where she is happy to discuss the most intimate moments of
her life with anyone who happens to be passing. This 4 disc set features
the whole of season one as well as an extra bonus disc featuring 40
minutes of off the cuff Anna material.
In
the intros and outros for each episode Anna Nicole comes over relatively
normal but as soon as the cameras are rolling on her life she starts
acting up, often seeming out of it although she does do a great line in
dumb one liners.
When
the series first aired people tried to say she was being exploited but
it is really the other way around, Anna Nicole is very in control,
performing to a perceived stereotype but you get the feeling underneath
it all that she knows exactly what she is doing and hey at least she
gets to keep her clothes on this time around in the fame game.

SPECIAL FEATURES?
This
set offers up heaps of deleted scenes from almost all the episodes as
well as some very funny TV Promo's as well as the chance to see all the
episodes in uncensored format, ie no bleeping and no blurring, yes Anna
Nicole does swear. A Lot. As an added bonus this Australian edition also
features a fourth disc called Anna Nicole Bares All, this is a 40 minute
coda to the series in which a now positively svelte Anna Nicole prepares
for a runway appearance at a fashion show, still with some of her old
hang ups this new Anna Nicole is definitely much more together.
