"Are you trying to seduce me Mrs. Robinson?"

ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Everyone! Dustin Hoffman, Katherine Ross, Anne Bancroft, Murray Hamilton, William Daniels, Elizabeth Wilson

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

A risqué assessment of what happens when student Benjamin (Dustin Hoffman) begins an affair with the wife (Anne Bancroft) of his father’s boss only to realise that he really loves her daughter (Katherine Ross) .

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

Without question. Something of a milestone in cinema history, The Graduate entertains enormously, winning an academy award for director Nichols as well as 7 other nominations.

The Graduate captured the mood of the late sixties when new laid back attitudes were meaning that adult subjects could be handled, certainly adultery had never been pictured like this before; A career defining role for Dustin Hoffman, not your typical lothario but bringing a great edginess to the role.

And of course you can’t talk about The Graduate without mentioning the fantastic grammy winning score by Simon and Garfunkel. Despite being almost 40 years old The Graduate hasn’t dated a jot and is still a must see movie.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

None at all unfortunately.
