JET LAG
Distributor: Buena Vista Home Entertainment
Certificate: M15+
Director: Daniele Thompson
Cast:
Juliette Binoche, Jean Reno
Extras:
Yes

This nicely underplayed Gallic comedy of manners sees the beautiful Juliette Binoche and classy Jean Reno join forces to play a mismatched pair who come together when their plane is grounded at a Paris airport.

Binoche is beauty queen Rose whilst Reno plays stressed out chef Felix, the pair have  nothing in common other than the fact that they have both sworn off relationships but of course you just know by the movies end the pair will be more than friends.

Made in 2002 this short (84 minutes) movie entertains well enough, pretty much a character study for two, both Reno and Binoche are in nearly every scene and spend the first half hour in an airport waiting room and the second half in a hotel room.

Whilst not laugh a minute stuff Jetlag does contain plenty of nice moments (and we are not just talking about Rose’s nude dip in the hotel pool either), a good couple choice for a night in, the only thing letting Jetlag down is it’s occasionally badly dubbed voice-overs.
