WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

A pair of two part stories featuring the greatest super heroes ever assembled tackling feindish evil doers hell bent on world take over, the first story The Brave and The Bold sees The Flash and Green Lantern doing battle against Gorilla Grodd, a primate who hates mankind and has a mind controlling device which he plans to use against the world. The second story Injustice For all features Superman's arch nemesis Lex Luthor who has assembled a whole rack of villains including the likes of Copperhead, The Shade and The Joker to once and for all bring down The Justice League.

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

This animated series from Warner's doesn't take itself too seriously and as such is pretty enjoyable. The actual concept for the series dates back to 1960 when an episode of the comic book The Brave and The Bold first teamed all the heroes together.

The League are a force to be reckoned all right, individually amazing but together unstoppable (despite that though it seemed there were plenty happy to try.

This production is certainly a lot scarier than King's novel, it's always easier to downplay in your head menacing things in books but when they are on screen they tend to implant themselves in your brain, the production also does well at carrying off that undercurrent of uneasiness that is essential if the piece is to work. This 2 part mini-series first seen on the TNT network is well worth getting scared by.
