WHAT’S
IT ABOUT THEN?
Male
nurse Greg Focker (Ben Stiller)
is all set to propose to his
girlfriend, Pam (Teri Polo),
during a weekend at her parents'
home. But there is a catch: Jack
Byrnes (Robert De Niro), Pam's
intimidating, cat-loving, ex-CIA
father, takes an immediate
dislike to his daughter's
truth-bending beau. Before
you can say "I have
nipples, Greg, would you like to
milk me?" we have a farce
of the first order on our hands.
SO
IS IT ANY GOOD?
Released
in a bumper jam packed with extras new edition to tie in with the cinema
release of the sequel Meet The Fockers, Meet The Parents is easily one
of Ben Stiller's finest movies and a fine comedy in its own right.
De
Niro is having a ball as the oppressive Jack and bounces well off
Stiller who is at his best when trying to ingratiate himself to Byrnes,
best of all though is the short appearance by Stiller's buddy Owen
Wilson, who is one of the brightest actors around today, here he plays
the ex-fiancee of Pam.
Yes
the movie does point out all its jokes quite clearly, you know they are
coming but that doesn't make them any less funny. If you haven't yet
seen the movie then this new edition is well worth seeking out, if you
have already seen it then you'll know that like any DVD worth its salt
this has high re-watchability factor. Good stuff.
