ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Steve McQueen, Malcolm Smith

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

Motorcycle documentary made by Bruce Brown in 1971 following Malcolm Smith and fellow moto-cross riders as they compete in all kinds of bike events from road races to dirt track races to races that last for days.

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

On Any Sunday is a greatly thrilling piece of bike riding action, with some amazingly shot scenes of the bikers in action and some great cinematography also ensures that the movie still looks great when seen today. This is actually a directors special edition that includes a tribute to Steve McQueen (McQueen had a huge love of bikes and any weekend he wasn’t working on a movie McQueen would hang out with Malcolm and the guys).

The guys on the bikes are amazing, still competing even when injured and some of the footage just has to be seen to be believed, racing on ice in Canada for instance and the race across the Mojave desert. Unreal stuff and well worth a look!

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

There is a short featurette tribute to super cool Steve McQueen and an interview with director Bruce Brown.
