WHAT’S
IT ABOUT THEN?
The
town of Roswell, New Mexico is
the epicentre of for all things
spaceships and UFO related, when
Liz Parker (Shiri Appleby) is
shot fellow high school student
Max Evans (Joasn Behr)
miraculously heals her and
reveals his true alien origins,
also revealed to be aliens are
Max’s sister Isabel (Katherine
Heigl) and their friend Michael.
Whilst
trying to keep their identities
secret Max and Co also search
for clues into their alien past.
SO
IS IT ANY GOOD?
In
1947 an alien spaceship supposedly crash landed in Roswell which the US
Government then proceeded to cover up, this forms the back story for
entertaining and intelligent scifi drama series Roswell.
This
6 disc set gives us all 22 episodes of season one and whilst it can at
times seem like a sci-fi Dawson’s Creek, Roswell is always
interesting. At the heart of the series is the dynamic between Max and
Liz and their growing relationship and Max’s attempt to discover more
about his alien roots especially as the town sheriff (a malevolent
William Sadler) has reasons of his own for wanting to get at the true
facts about Roswell.
