national institution, the now
aging Rumpole showed no signs of

involving the husband if a
violinist who has been charged
with murder and one involving an
8 year old girl accused of Devil
worship and even getting into
trouble with the judge whilst
defending a manslaughter case.

McKern is just gorgeous as the irascible Rumpole, this 2 disc set from
Acorn Media UK pulls together all 6 episodes from the seventh series and
very enjoyable it is too; The secondary characters around Rumpole
(especially she who must be obeyed) all add to the feel of the series in
fact the quality of the acting allied with the sparkling scripts ensures
some top quality drama. If
you’ve never caught Rumpole before its certainly worth checking out
and you don’t have to have seen any of the earlier series to enjoy
this, in fact seeing this will no doubt make you want to check out the
rest of the series.
