SO
IS IT ANY GOOD?
Theres not many westerns where you can find Eric Sykes,
Brigitte Bardot and Sean Connery all sharing screen space, this movie
though, based on the novel by western legend Louis L’Amour is
idiosyncratic to say the least, jam packed with well known names (Jack
Hawkins appears in one of his last movies his voice dubbed by a
soundalike as the throat cancer that killed him had by that stage fully
taken hold).
Bardot of course is gorgeous, here in her prime,
Connery though seems a little unsure of his place in the movie.
A curio that’s worth seeing if only for the
strangeness of its casting and the Brigitte Bardot washing by the river
scene.
