ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Jan-Michael Vincent, Ernest Borgnine, Alex Cord, Deborah Pratt

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

Great knockabout airborne action adventure from the mid 1980's with Airwolf which was a super high tech helicopter assigned to top secret government agency The Firm; The opening episode, in this 2 disc double sided Universal set,  sets the scene as the man

who created the Airwolf steals the machine in a plot to sell it to the Libyans with the US Government persuading reclusive super pilot Stingfellow Hawke (Jan-Michael Vincent) to bring it back, he succeeds in getting his hands on the Airwolf but then refuses to hand it over unless the government help find his missing in action brother, he does however agree to use the copter to perform operations for the government.

All your classic elements are here, the loner lead, the sensible older guy in the shape of Ernest Borgnine's Dominic Santani and the shady middleman with Archangel (Alex Cord). Similar in style I guess to The A-Team, Airwolf is a good slice of fun,

whilst it might not be as widely remembered as other shows of the era it is still well worth a look, later episodes of the show saw an almost complete cast and format change but this first series is the show at its best. Check it out!
