ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Ryoo Seung-bum, Yun Soy, Ahn Sung-ki, Jung Doo-hung, Yun Ju-sang

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

Sang hwan is a somewhat cowardly Korean policeman. By chance, he meets a mysterious group of old men called the 'Seven Masters"- who protect the earth from ancient evil. Centuries ago, the Seven Masters imprisoned HeugUn- the master of absolute evil- but now HeungUn has returned to seek bloody vengeance on all mankind. Teamed with the beautiful but deadly Eui-jin, Sang hwan must not only fight for his own life, but to protect the fate of all men.

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

Pretty much a star vehicle for the talented Ryoo Seung-bum Arahan pulls off some stunning set pieces as it races along at a fast pace. Ryoo Seung-bum (the director's brother) takes the lead as cop who goes from being a laughing stock to a lean mean fighting machine.

Arahan touches all the modern martial arts bases from the fly wire fights and super fast editing (these days it seems that no matter what Kung Fu ability the leads may have they are all the new Bruce Lee thanks to camera trickery).

and the movie itself at times appears like a Korean Karate Kid as Seung-bum is trained by the old master. It is however very entertaining and worth watching for the frantic and fantastic restaurant fight scene alone.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

Documentary going behind the scenes of the movie; cast and crew interviews and the original trailers.
