CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL SEASON ONE
Distributor: Paramount-Nickelodeon Entertainment
Certificate: Not Rated | 328 Minutes | Region 1 | NTSC | 2 disc set
Available to buy

Extras: Yes

ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Melissa Joan Hart, Jason Zimbler, Elizabeth Hess, Joe O'Connor, Sean O'Neal

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

Before Melissa Joan Hart became a teenage witch she was a more typical teenage in the sitcom Clarissa Explains It All; Clarissa Darling is the archetypal teenage girl detailing aspects of her life to the viewers at home, her younger brother Ferguson is a complete brat, a know it all nerd, whilst her parents were surprisingly well balanced, Clarissa's best

friend was neighbour Sam who had a habit of appearing through Clarissa's bedroom window after climbing a ladder.

This 2 disc set contains the first 13 episodes (the whole of season one in fact), despite it being a sitcom Clarissa still has plenty to say about the "agonies" of being a teen, from boy trouble to sibling trouble (and there is plenty of that here) to parent trouble Clarissa covers it with plenty of humour, at times Clarissa seems to be somewhat smarter than the average teen, quoting Karl Marx and being something of a computer whizz (nothing now of course every teenager is a whisker away from world domination with their computer skills) but back in the early nineties it was quite unusual).

If you haven't reacquainted yourself with Clarissa for awhile this set affords the perfect opportunity to do so. Good stuff.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

There are a couple of extra segments, the first features a much older Melissa on MTV Cribs showing off her home and talking about her life (runs for about 10 minutes), there is also a fun Nick Time Capsule 1991-93 which offers a set of on air Nick promos dating from the early nineties, a good idea sure to appeal to complete-ists.
