ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Fred Flintstone, Wilma Flintstone, Barney Rubble and Betty Rubble

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

All 32 episodes from season two of the funniest stone age sitcom ever, with such delights as the boys accidentally getting involved in the film business, Fred and Barney going into the private detective business, Fred and Barney lying to their wives about their judging of a beauty contest and Wilma almost becoming a TV star.

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

The Flinstones of course is more than just a cartoon its a window to the world of the concerns of the people of the sixties. It's also laugh out loud hilarious with the two families at the heart of the series living in the stone age but with all the conveniences of the modern age and a dinosaur instead of a pet dog. Full of clever little touches and sight gags galore The Flintstones was and still is one of the smartest shows to grace the small screen.

Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

Pick of the bunch is the excellent new doco Carved In Stone which has tons of background on the show as well as giving you the chance to see the original pilot episode called The Flagstones. There is also a commentary on three episodes (The Hit Songwriter, The Beauty Contest and The Happy Household) by key members of the crew, vintage commercial in now a word from our sponsor, rare pencil drawings in Flintstone Art, an original feature from the shows original run called How To Draw Fred Flintstone and finally there is a short feature on an album made by the cast called Songs of the Flintstones.

TRIVIA

Inspiration for the Flinstones is supposed to be fifties sitcom classic The Honeymooners; The famous Meet The Flintstones theme tune didn't start until season three.
