The third series of one of the kitschiest drama series
on the box, the entangled and
intertwined lives of the
football jet set and especially
their wives, chief character
amongst them – Tanya Turner (Zoe
Lucker) a woman who will stop at
nothing (and we mean nothing) to
get what she wants whenever she
wants it.
SO
IS IT ANY GOOD?
Much has changed in the world of Footballers Wives for
this energetic third season however the formula is still the same as
before with the bitch factor going through the roof and the raunchiness
somewhat raunchier than before (even on her honeymoon to the detestable
Frank Tanya is getting jiggy with it with a fellow who just turns out to
be Earl’s Park new star striker).Zoe Lucker is without question the star of this series and in
turn the show has made her into a “chav” icon, Tanya really is the
slapper dujour, even more so now that Chardonnay has popped her clogs.
The major new development this series is the introduction of Jesse
Birdsall as new manager Roger Webb and Gary Lucy’s Kyle
(Chardonnay’s husband) descending into a mire of gambling and bare
knuckle boxing.
Showing no signs of running out of steam Footballers
Wives is in fact on the up, realising the aspects that have garnered all
the press the producers have stepped them up a gear
, revelling in the machinations and shenanigans almost. It's all very
entertaining though, in fact Footballer's Wives is destined to become a
true classic.
