ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Christopher Lloyd and the gang from S Club 8

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

A group of talented teens find themselves invited to become students at the top secret training academy for the performing arts called Avalon Heights, meeting their eccentric headmaster Professor Toone, it is son obvious that fun and musical adventure is high on the agenda.

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

The man behind S Club 7 (Simon Fuller) and their various popular teen TV series didn’t let the fact that S Club were no more, when it was clear that S Club’s members were outgrowing the band Fuller put together a similar themed but younger sister band called S Club 8 and most of the band feature in this funky new series; I Dream is very similar in style and content to Miami 7 or any of the other S Club series with song and dance routines well to the fore and a high emphasis on comedy. Appealing right at the teen set (my 13 year old is already a convert) the show touches on themes familiar to the audience, first love, friendship, jealousy, peer pressure and so on; The kids are trendy and actually very good, the added bonus for the adult viewers being of course the presence of the legendary Christopher Lloyd (of Taxi and Back to the Future Fame) as the headmaster of the school. A must for any 10-15 year old girl I Dream proves that entertaining teen shows are still being made.
