ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Noddy, Big Ears, Mr Plod, Mr Sparks, Tessie Bear,

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

A superbly realised all CGI version of Toytown dealing with the adventures of Noddy and his friends Big Ears, Mr Plod, Mr Sparks and Tessie Bear. This volume contains 6 stories.

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

These new CGI adventures of the loveable Noddy hold enormous charm, the world of Toytown is superbly realised and Noddy himself is undeniably cute, my two year old is a major fan so we are already pretty familiar with this new world of Noddy and his friends. The old BBC stop motion series was excellent but this new Canadian version takes things a step further, you can do so much with the CG images, from swooping camera shots to extravagant special effects.

There are six stories in this collection allowing plenty of opportunity for not just noddy but his friends too to have their turn in the spotlight, besides his best friend Big Ears other key figures in Noddy’s world include Mr Plod the policeman, Tessie Bear, whom Noddy seems to have a major crush on and those terribly naughty goblins Sly and Gobbo for whom mischief is a way of life.

Of the six episodes there are a couple of quite scary ones for younger viewers especially Noddy and the Bumper Monster and Don’t Be Scared, Noddy – both of these taking place at night and dealing with perceived monsters (Noddy is convinced a monster is on his tail in the first even though he just has something tied to his bumper and he thinks there are monsters lurking under his bed in the second). All in all though we like Noddy and recommend him whole heartedly.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

Extras include a learn the alphabet game and a spot the difference game
