WHAT’S
IT ABOUT THEN?
When
it looks like Andy Garcia's
Terry Benedict has plans to take
back the money
Danny
Ocean
and the guys stole from him in
the first movie by whatever
force necessary, Ocean is forced
to gather together his team to
pull off another heist...this
time to pay back Benedict.
SO
IS IT ANY GOOD THEN?
A
definite feel good caper movie and whereas Ocean's 11 was all about
style and pulling off the perfect heist Ocean's 12 is more about the
guys getting together; There is certainly a more light hearted feel
about the whole production and the movie itself is easily the equal of
its predecessor.
A
party feel hangs over the movie, Clooney, Pitt, Damon and Co are clearly
enjoying themselves immensely, special kudos must go to Elliot Gould
though as the cigar chomping, outrageous glasses wearing Reuben Tishkoff
and Catherine Zeta Jones is bang on as the Europol agent Isabel Lahiri,
sexy and confident she probably has the best role of all in the movie,
her character binding the whole plotline together and with its locales
moving from LA to Amsterdam to
Paris
to Rome the movie looks fantastic too. Only Julia Roberts seems slightly
under par although there is a funny subplot about her character
resembling a certain film star called Julia Roberts.
Ocean's
12 is an old style
Hollywood
movie, glamorous, big of budget, high on style and a definite must see.
