OLIVER'S TWIST SERIES TWO

ANYONE IN IT WE KNOW?

Jamie Oliver

WHAT’S IT ABOUT THEN?

Jamie Oliver decides to stay at home and invite his mates over for dinner, ranging from the builders doing up his place to the chef who gave him his big break to an Elvis impersonator. With meals ranging from the simple to the sublime, add some cockney banter and you’ve got a dinner that his guests won’t forget…

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

He might be a bit of a diamond geezer with his cockneyisms and talk of bigging up his vegetables but Jamie Oliver is actually a good cook, not only that he obviously loves cooking and is always happy to try his own food (“cor, beautiful mate”), as in Jamie’s other series, the pace is frantic, filmed almost staccato fashion – one nice thing about Oliver is his easy style and the way he takes traditional recipes and food we all eat and still using ingredients readily available manages to a new funky spin on things.

Oliver’s Twist is entertaining and informative, there are bags of useful tips in every episode and this two part collection (which is available to buy separately as two by two disc sets) from MRA is well worth tucking into.

ANY SPECIAL FEATURES?

Extras on each disc give you the opportunity to view just the actual cooking segments.
